There are two academic systems in Chulalongkorn University: Semester System and Trimester System
- Semester System: two semesters with one summer session
- 1st Semester (Fall Semester) : August – December
- 2nd Semester (Spring Semester) : January – May
- Summer Session : June – July *registering in summer session is optional
- Trimester System: three trimesters
- 1st Trimester : August – November
- 2nd Trimester : December – March
- 3rd Trimester : April – August
* Trimester system applies only on some international graduate programs.

Two admission rounds are available for undergraduate international programs:
- Early Admission: application starts around November-December
- Admission: application starts around February-March
- For CU-MEDi: application starts in February

TUITION FEES
The tuition fee for international students in Thailand is quite reasonable compared to the long-term skills and knowledge that a student will be equipped with when they graduate. Tuition fees for international students are divided into five groups:

This rate applies to undergraduate and graduate students who are registering for some courses in the program, such as exchange students or visiting students.

LIVING COSTS
- Books: Approximately 5,000 THB ($150 USD)/semester
- Food & Personal Expenses: ≥10,000 THB ($300 USD)/month
(Apart from room rent, a meal is, on average, 50-100 THB ($1.5-$3) - Dormitory: ≈15,000 THB ($450)/month (including electricity and water)

STUDY AT CHULA
AFTER APPLYING TO CHULA…
1. Check Successful Applicants Announcement
- The list of successful applicants will be announced via TCAS or through each faculty or program’s website, or any other method specified.
- Schedule of successful applicants announcement is varied accordingly to the Office of Academic Affairs or as specified by each faculty or program.
2. Inquire your Student ID Number
- Check when and how you could get your student ID number for each semester at the Office of the Registrar [REG CHULA].
3. Retrieve your CU-NET password
- Retrieve your CU-NET account and password from Office of Information Technology [IT CHULA] to access all university’s services, facilities, and registration system.
4. Complete Online Enrollment
- Complete your student profile, upload your student photo and required documents to enroll as a new student of Chulalongkorn University and to issue your student card via Online Enrollment System.
- Check the schedule for online enrollment and read more information about the specification of your student photo and required documents at the Office of the Registrar [REG CHULA]
5. Register for Courses
- Register for courses based on your study plan through Office of the Registrar [REG CHULA]’s registration system.
- Check the schedule for course registration for new students at the Office of the Registrar [REG CHULA]
6. Pay Tuition Fees
- Pay tuition fees via CU-NEX application within the specified timeline. You can read more about tuition fees payment here.
