Students who have paid tuition fee for any semester or summer session may request for refund in the following cases:
- If you have registered but later submit a Request Form for Resignation (CR31) or Request Form for Leave of Absence (CR49) before the start date of the semester: after the resignation or leave of absence request is approved by the Dean, you can submit the Request Form for Refund (CR45) for the paid tuition fee or paid program fee. However, if there are any program related expenses occurred before the start date of the semester, that amount can be deducted from the refunding amount, in accordance with the rates specified in the announcement by each program’s administrative board.
- If you are not eligible for registration: e.g. suspended in the registering semester, but the tuition has been paid; dismissed due to academic results and is not allowed to register in the following semester, but the tuition has been paid.
- If all registered courses are closed and you are unable to register for other courses.
- If your student status is dismissed; except if the dismissal is due to No.16.3 of Regulations on Undergraduate Studies B.E. 2556, or No.67(3) of Regulations on Undergraduate Studies B.E. 2565 or No. 137 (4) of Regulations of Graduate Studies B.E. 2551 or No. 109 (4) of Regulations of Graduate Studies B.E. 2561. In those cases, you are not eligible to receive refunds of the paid fees from the University or the Faculty (if applicable).
Refunding Process
- Complete Request Form for Refund (CR45).
- Prepare supplementary documents:
- CR45
- Fee Receipt (original)
- A copy of your student card
- A copy of your ID card / Passport
- A copy of your bank book with your name and account number. The bank account receiving the refund must only be under your name.
- Submit the form and supplementary documents to the Office of the Registrar at saraban_reg@chula.ac.th.
- After the request has been approved, the Office of Fiscal Management, Accounts, and Supplies (OFAS) of Chulalongkorn University will proceed the refunding process within 1 month. You can follow up your request at OFAS Chamchuri 5 Building 3rd Floor, Tel 02-218-0084, 02-218-0386, 02-218-0339.
