Course Exemption Condition

  1. The exempting course(s) should be in the currently enrolled program.
  2. The exempting course(s) must have been taken within a period of not more than 5 years.
  3. The exempting course(s) must have the following assessment:
    • Undergraduate Level: a grade of not lower than C or S
    • Graduate Level: a grade of not lower than B or S

Procedures for Course Exemption

Course exemption must be processed within the first semester of enrollment in Chulalongkorn University by following these procedures:

  1. Complete Request Form for Course(s) Exemption (CR66)
  2. After submitting the form, you will receive a CR66 form in PDF format via your student e-mail (66xxxxxxxx@student.chula.ac.th). Submit the CR66 form along with your transcript that shows the course(s) to be exempted to your Department office.
  3. Course exemption must be approved by the Program Administrative Board and the Faculty Administrative Board.
  4. You can follow up your course exemption results at the Office of the Registrar 4 weeks after the submission at webreg@chula.ac.th

Remark

  • Exempted course(s) will receive an ‘S’ symbol and will be excluded from GPAX calculation.
  • Undergraduate students who have their course(s) exempted are not eligible to be awarded the Medal of Excellence, but are still eligible to confer an Honor’s degree.
  • Students do not have to register for exempted course(s).
